About
My Life in Words
I have always been passionate about writing and storytelling. From a small child, I became enraptured by stories created in my father's imagination, serialised to us on lazy Sunday mornings. As a teenager I'd write photo romance stories, pretending they were published in magazines (all the rage in the 1980's!)
After emigrating to Australia in 2003, I attempted to write a novel about my adventures. I got to 15,000 words and stopped, having too much fun doing the adventure bit.
A trend then continued over the years of novels ending up as short stories.
Fast forward to living back in sunny Poundbury, Dorset in the UK with my own successful business as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. One day, a few years ago, my window cleaner put a yellow A-board outside my house while he was cleaning the windows – and the name I saw on the board inspired the series of novels.
That was the day Trip Hazard was born.

But he never made it onto paper at that point.
Then two years later, I finally started to write a novel featuring Trip Hazard - determined to complete it. It was only ever supposed to be a stand-alone novel - but I quickly realised all of the characters were coming to life in my mind and I couldn't end those lives after one book.
Trip is very much fictional (or is he...?)…and Felicity Marche? Well, let’s just say I have endless adventures to write about in the coming series of Trip Hazard books!
When I'm writing, I become completely immersed in the project - plunging myself into the depths of the world my characters live in; living and breathing the same air as them. But now it's over to you - so I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.
